Undertook a comprehensive assessment that resulted in adoption of a downtown redevelopment strategy near the University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Conducted a SWOC (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints) assessment, and met with dozens of stakeholders (property owners, businesses, developers, lenders, appraisers, brokers, elected officials and others) to solicit their views. Obtained commitments for an infusion of private and public funds to spur key projects. Devised a location-based strategy to trigger redevelopment at key locations so in-fill reinvestment would be encouraged.
